Heritability- Is certain traits that are passed down through genetics. Example: Good hair on a cow or a calm nature.

Selective Breeding- Is picking certain traits or characteristics in animals and using that dam and sire to get the ‘selective’ traits you are looking for. Example: Breeding to a bull with good feet or cow with good udders
