Safe and Low Stress Handling of Livestock
1. Describe how Temple Grandin’s approach to stockmanship resulted in positive change in North America’s livestock industry 2. Just to ensure you know how the Animal Handling and Ethics Dual Credit Course will work:

  1. You will be responsible for completing the online (asychronous) work at your own pace part of the course prior to our in-person ‘Lab’ hands on learning session in Altario, AB at the Altario School Student Led Farm.
  2. You will also be required to have a check-in meeting with the instructor (Jamie Galloway) while working through the online section of this dual credit course. We will schedule this meeting so it works for both parties involved.
  3. The online portion of this covers the information needed to be able to succeed with the hands on session. We will offer two different days per semester to meet in Altario to complete your hands on portion of the course. You will be required to pick 1 of the 2 days and come to Altario School and complete the hands on learning labs and activities in order to receive credit for this course.
